Get Your Art on Carlsbad!
Art Farm’s Fall Series Classes for kids and adults begin October 20, 21, and 24. Online enrollment is now open on our Classes and Workshops Page. Each series is four classes meeting weekly for three hours.
Classes in beginning and intermediate oil painting and printmaking for adults, and students age 16 and older, are held Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Our classes for kids during the school year are held on Saturdays for morning and afternoon sessions. For this next series we are offering drawing, painting and printmaking.
Get to Know Us Before Committing
Are you an adult student interested in Art Farm but not certain if we are the venue for you? First-time adult students at Art Farm may audit one class by appointment. The class must be the first class at the start of a series. If you are interested in auditing a class please check our adult class schedule and contact Director Perrin Weston at director@CarlsbadArtFarm.com for a reservation. There is a $50 non-refundable fee for auditing a class. This fee will be applied to tuition if you decide to enroll for all four classes.
Why Art Farm
Whether your a kid who wants to explore nature, visit animals, and make art all in one class, or a busy adult who has always wanted to paint or investigate printmaking, we offer a relaxing atmosphere with talented instructors who want you to enjoy the process of making art in a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. We know that many of our adult students have never taken a class before, or perhaps you have but long ago. We know it can be intimidating to get started, but we’re here to introduce you to solid practices that are well explained and fun to learn.
Bring the Whole Family
On Saturday, we often have class offerings for adults and kids. Take a painting class while your child is off to the creek to investigate crawdads or to sketch chickens in the barn. Teens age 16 may attend our adult classes, so think about how much fun it would be to learn oil painting basics together! Just remember that all students at Art Farm must be enrolled in a class to stay onsite during classes. We do not offer child care for younger students.
Refunds
Art Farm is a small private art school that depends on tuition to run classes. If you change your mind about attending a class, we require 48-hours advanced notice by email to director@CarlsbadArtFarm.com. If you miss the deadline, we cannot refund. We do not process cancellations by phone.
Missed Classes
We do not refund for missed classes. However, when possible, students may attend another regularly scheduled class to make up for a missed class during our series starting in October. For kids, the make-up class must be appropriate to their grade level. Missed classes cannot be made up during class series beginning in November and December.
